This Privacy Policy describes how Attention Grid ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our web application at attentiongrid.com.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

• Your Google email address
• Your display name
• Your profile picture URL

We use this information solely for authentication purposes and to display your identity within the app.

1.2 User-Generated Content

When you use the app, we store:

• Focus Text Presets: Custom text labels you create for focus topics
• Shape Progress: Which face panels you have filled on each polyhedron shape
• Completion Records: Timestamps of when you complete typing challenges, associated with your selected focus topic
• Preferences: Your selected time period filter and most recently used shape

1.3 Technical Data

We automatically collect:

• Device ID: A randomly generated identifier unique to your browser/device, used to detect and merge changes across your devices
• Sync Timestamps: When your data was last synchronised

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Authenticate your identity via Google Sign-In
• Save your progress locally in your browser
• Synchronise your progress across multiple devices when you sign in
• Display completion statistics for your focus topics
• Restore your data when you return to the app

3. Data Storage

3.1 Local Storage

Your data is stored in your browser's local storage. This data remains on your device and persists between sessions unless you clear your browser data or sign out.

3.2 Cloud Storage

When you sign in with Google, your data is synchronised to our cloud database hosted on Supabase. This enables:

• Access to your data from multiple devices
• Data recovery if you clear your browser storage
• Real-time synchronisation between devices

Your cloud data is associated with your Google account ID and is accessible only to you.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Supabase

We use Supabase for user authentication, cloud database storage, and real-time data synchronisation.

4.2 Google

We use Google Identity Services for authentication. When you sign in, Google authenticates your identity and we receive a token confirming your identity.

4.3 Cloudflare

Our app is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• With the third-party service providers listed above, solely to provide app functionality
• If required by law or to protect our legal rights

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data:

• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• Cloud database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data
• Authentication tokens are handled securely through Google and Supabase

7. Data Retention

• Local data: Stored until you clear your browser data or sign out
• Cloud data: Retained while your account is active
• Deleted presets: Soft-deleted and purged after 30 days

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data by viewing it within the app
• Export your data (feature planned for future release)
• Delete your data by signing out (which clears local storage) and requesting account deletion
• Opt out of cloud sync by using the app without signing in

8.1 Account Deletion

To request deletion of your cloud data, please contact us. Local data can be cleared by:

1. Signing out of the app
2. Clearing your browser's local storage for attentiongrid.com

9. Children's Privacy

Attention Grid is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Supabase and Cloudflare operate globally and may store data in various locations. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
